PROTÖKO Ltd. was founded in April 2004 as the legal successor organisation of ENVIROTECH Ltd., a company with significant professional history. Workers of PROTÖKO Ltd. have 30-40 years of professional experience, they are committed environmentalists and feel a heavy responsibility for environmental technology. Our mission is to improve the quality of surface waters, the protection of groundwater and preservation of their purity. They have outstanding professional experience in the field of communal and industrial wastewater treatment and drinking water purification, both from the aspect of design and implementation. This experience and knowledge constitutes the basis and background of PROTÖKO Ltd.’s current activities.

After its foundation, PROTÖKO Ltd. has significantly increased its professional competence. Recently the professionals of PROTÖKO Ltd. have played a key role in the design and implementation of a number of drinking water purification and wastewater treatment plants, both in Hungary and Romania. Our work had been continuously and significantly supported our leading partners working in our European area of expertise, technology designer partners and equipment manufacturing partners. Thanks to these representative and partnership relations we had an excellent opportunity to apply the international state-of-the-art technologies and experience in Hungarian projects.

We specialize in a full range of residential and industrial wastewater sewerage and treatment.

In cooperation with several partners we undertake to design and implement drinking water purification and wastewater treatment technologies, plants, equipment and procedures, furthermore, the transformation and modernization of dysfunctional wastewater treatment plants with sectional and continuous operation. After the transformation, the quality of the effluent purified wastewater meets the territorial emission limits included in the current standards relevant to the emissions of water pollutants. Transformation of an operating wastewater treatment plant amounts to only 20-30% of construction costs of a purification system of the same capacity.

One of our profiles is the manufacture and distribution of stainless, PVC or polypropylene drinking water purification equipment and wastewater treatment equipment for communal - industrial wastewater treatment plants. Our activities cover the preparation of authorization and implementation plans, manufacture, on-site installation, commissioning and maintenance.

During the design, the necessary technological units are selected to fulfil the needs of clients and the requirements of the official regulations. The implementation of the technology takes place in the layout of the plant and site adjusted to the capacity of the plant, by taking into account the local conditions, by the maximum possible use of the existing structures, low construction costs and the provision of operating-automation level according to the requirements of the operator.
